Motupipi School - Making a Difference Together

Tēnā koutou!

Kia Ora, Guten Tag, Konnichiwa, Shalom, Goedendag, Talofa Lava, Ni Hao, Namaste,  Malo e Lelei, Greetings!

It is my privilege to welcome you to Motupipi School.

On behalf of the Motupipi School Board, Staff and Students, I extend a very warm welcome to you and your whānau as you undertake that very important decision as to where to educate your child. Our school was established in the 1850’s, making it one of the oldest schools in the Tasman District.

We are located five kilometres from Tākaka township. With approximately 80-90 students, we are a great-sized school. Our tamariki enjoy spacious grounds surrounded by mature trees. We have a heated swimming pool, playground, court, multi purpose room, extensive library and a school garden. We participate in many environmental, sporting, cultural and Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) opportunities – making the most of our outdoor and local surroundings as much as possible.

Our rich, relevant School Curriculum provides opportunities for excellence not only in academics, but also in sporting, environmental and social/emotional activities. We take advantage of learning opportunities as they arise and utilise the outdoor environment. The Staff and School Board at Motupipi School are committed to ensuring a localised, high-quality curriculum, supported by our School Values of Respect, Resilience, Responsibility and Connections.. We are a proud Enviroschool and we enjoy a strong connection to the Abel Tasman National Park via Project Janszoon..

Whānau involvement is high in all aspects of schooling, with parents, family and community members providing excellent support for the school. The Staff and School Board at Motupipi School are committed to providing students with high-quality education that coincides with our school vision of:

Making a Difference Together

It is a real privilege to be a part of such a vibrant school community where there is always something exciting happening. If you would like to learn more, please get in touch with me, or stop by and say ‘Kia Ora!.’

We look forward to having you join our Motupipi School whānau.

Ngā mihi nui
